Choose a specific objective

“The difference between good artists and great artists is not how well they paint, but what they choose to paint.”

Bob Ross, The Boondocks, emphasis added

As part of pursuing your interest, that means you’ll want to work seriously at something once you’ve defined the specific objective you want to reach in the near term or the long term.

What makes an objective defined? Specific? Chosen?

A defined objective is actionable. Sure, thinking is action. Prefer tangible action though–the kind that produces a result you can visually and/or physically point to and say, “I made this.”

A specific objective is distinct. Sure, difference is distinct. Prefer uniqueness though–something that only you can do.

A chosen objective is intentional. Sure, prioritization is intentional. Prefer involuntariness though–the thing you can’t help but do in spite of yourself…or perhaps thanks to your self.
