Pause and Assess

Re-read your goal, no matter how abstract, as well as system or plan steps. Then, each month, ask yourself:

• What seems to be working?
• What seems not to be working?
• In what way(s) can you save time?
• How much is this pursuit costing you, and is the cost still acceptable?
• Are you pursuing this goal in the simplest way possible?
• Are any gaps in your system/plan?
• In what way(s) can your system be optimized—even if only by 1% (e.g., lower cost, higher efficiency, higher effectiveness, team growth, etc.)?
• Overall, is the light still worth the candle?

Continuously improve your systems and update your plans in some small way monthly.
